The FS6000 series OTDR is specially designed for demanding outdoor work. Its IP65 protection level, light weight, easy handling, low-reflection LCD screen and 12-hour operating period make it perfect for field testing. In addition, the optional PCB plate with waterproof coating helps the FS6000 series OTDR to achieve better protection performance.
FLM (fibre link measurement)
The FLM test (fibre link measurement), also known as «optical eye», uses multiple acquisitions of pulse width and advanced algorithms to quickly characterize the fiber under test and display the optical events by applying intuitive symbols.
Multimode OTDR
In addition to the standard single mode (1310 / 1550 nm), the FS6000 series OTDR supports the multi-mode test mode (850 / 1300 m) to have the option to analyze the multi-mode fibre network.
VFL (visual fault locator)
The VFL, available as a standard module in the FS6000 series OTDR, offers 650 nm fault visual location built into a FC / UPC connector.
Fiber microscope (FM)
The optional fiber inspection probe facilitates inspection before connection. The FS6000 offers this capacity through a USB connection, allows quick and easy inspection of the connector to detect pollution and also allows capture and storage of the image.
