Automatic silencing function
The sensitivity of the silencer is automatically adjusted according to the noise level to remove the annoying background noise and unwanted signals.
Fast silencing adjustment
Automatic and manual silencing, including the level of silencing, can be quickly adjusted with the volume knob. The silencing test function temporarily opens the silencer and allows you to monitor the signals
GPS memory function
When connected to an external GPS receiver* equipped with an airport frequency database, frequency data, such as nearby airports, can be transferred and made available at IC-A220.
* Ask your distributor about the available details of the GPS receiver.
Optional power supply PS-80 for ground
When combined with IC-A220, the optional PS-80 power supply provides a comfortable ground base station operation. The PS-80 includes built-in speaker and hand microphone HM-176.
Automatic counter
The automatic attenuation function sets the brightness of the screen and key backlight. The ICA220 'high sensitivity light sensor covers a wide range of lighting.
External attenuation control
When connected to an aircraft external attenuation control system, the ICA220 'attenuation function can be linked to the aircraft's attenuation level.
Intercommunication function
The IC-A220 has a voice-activated intercom function that allows the pilot to talk to the copilot through the headphones. The IC-A220 has adjustable functions of audio level and silencing control.
Remote control capacity
You can remotely control FLIP-FLOP switches (frequency exchange), intercom and recovery through the rear panel connector
8.33 kHz channel space
The IC-A220 allows to change between frequency steps of 8.33 kHz and 25 kHz in the menu mode.
* The use of a channel spacing of 8.33 kHz per country may be prohibited.
Memory channels
The IC-A220 has 20 memory channels and 20 historical memory channels respectively. The memory channels used can often be recovered instantly. Group memory channels are organized in 10 memory channels by five groups (50 channels in total). The scan function of the weather channel is looking for signs of the weather channel.
